Kerry Richardson

Kerry Richardson is a highly qualified designer jeweller.

The range of jewellery that Kerry designs and manufactures has evolved from many years of art studies, and observing the African landscapes that she grew up in.

Inspiration for Kerry’s very individual style comes from a combination of African cultures, landscapes and symbols, all of which help create the uniqueness of her work.

Kerry first established a workshop in South Africa in 1983, and moved to the United Kingdom in 1990, where she set up her studio.

Kerry did an apprenticeship with Erich Frey Ltd, in Pretoria, South Africa. She also studied gemmology and stone cutting. She has studied at the Sir John Cass Department of Jewellery and Silversmithing, London Guildhall University, and has received awards for her work from both the British Jeweller’s Association and the Goldsmiths’ Hall.

Kerry is a member of the Designer Jewellers Group, The Society of Designer Craftsmen and the Suffolk Craft Society, and exhibits regularly with them.

She has also exhibited at The Goldsmiths Fair from 2000-2002. She attended large Craft Fairs in and around London from 1997-2012.

Kerry currently focuses on her annual Open Studio Event with Peterborough Artists Open Studios, and various Exhibition opportunities. The most recent was a touring exhibition called Manifest, with the Designer Jewellers Group.

She enjoys her commission work and welcomes any challenges that her clients present her with.
